Instant Shade at the Beach – Coleman Sunshade Review
As a ginger with very fair skin I have to have shade when I go to the beach. Even with the 60+ SPF sunscreen it doesn’t take long for me to turn into a lobster on the beach. There have been a number of times where I have gone to a resort and had to fight for an umbrella. Aruba was the worst for this, and it appears that many of the resorts in Aruba suffer from lack of shade. How many of you had to wake up at 6:00AM to go down to the beach to reserve a beach chair, so you can get an umbrella or an optimal spot?
Now I don’t worry about it as much, because I travel with a Coleman Sunshade. It fits into my luggage easily when it is all folded up in its case and only ways 6.4 lbs so it doesn’t eat into my luggage allowance too much. The best part is that I can create shade from the sun anywhere on the beach I like. I can take it right down to the water, set it up and stick 2 beach loungers in there and I’m set. In the Caribbean the locals go crazy for it, everyone wants one. You will not be able to sit inside without at least one person coming up to admire it! But for me knowing that I have shade wherever I go and being able to sit with the waves at my feet is an awesome reason to travel with one.
The Coleman sunshade is great shelter from rain and sun while on the beach or on a camping trip.
