Dream Vacations – Walt Disney World, Florida

It’s the number one attraction in the world and a dream vacation for kids and kids at heart worldwide. Walt Disney World Florida has four major theme parks, two waterparks, several attractions and 22 themed hotel resorts. You would never be able to see it all in one trip. In fact we would never be able to outline it all in one webpage but here’s our overview of one of the biggest dream vacation destinations in the world.

Magic Kingdom® Park

The Magic Kingdom was the first of the Disney World theme parks to open. The California copy opened it’s doors October 1, 1971 and the Magic Kingdom is featured in all Disney Parks around the world.

There are seven areas within the Kingdom:

  • Main Street U.S.A;
  • Liberty Square;
  • Fantasyland;
  • Tomorrowland;
  • Frontierland;
  • Adventureland; and
  • Mickey’s Toontown Fair.

Some of the most commonly known attractions at the Magic Kingdom include: It’s a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain.

Epcot

The Epcot theme park opened it’s doors October 1, 1982. The park features two areas Future World and the World Showcase. In Future World the focus is on the seas, the land, technology, energy, motion, communication and imagination. The World Showcase features realistic interpretations of eleven nations including: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, United States, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom and Canada.

The parks icon Spaceship Earth is the first stop to Epcot’s first World Future World. This world features the following pavilions each with it’s own attractions.  The Universe of Energy, Mission: Space, Test Track, Innovations, The Seas, The Land and Imagination Pavilion.

Be sure to catch the evening fireworks display IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth presented above the World Showcase Lagoon this is a jaw dropping fireworks display on water and in the sky that is the topper for your dream Disney vacation.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Bringing Hollywood to Florida the Disney Hollywood Studios is a behind the scenes look at the magic of movie making. Since it opened in 1989 this theme park as more than doubled in size offering more attractions, shows and even star sightseeing. Featuring Hollywood then and now experiences this theme parks holds some visitor favorites like the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Set, Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, The Cars stunt show, Muppet Vision 3D and Star Tours.

The Animal Kingdom

This may not be the thrills of attractions theme park in the Disney Resort family but the Animal Kingdom thrills in far different way. Combining a theme park with a zoo jungle theme. The Animal Kingdom is a lavish theme park that places you in a tropical environment with a focus on wildlife. Visitors can take part in a Kilimanjaro Safari, take a Jungle Trek or enjoy a wild River Rapid ride.

The park is divided into 7 areas: Oasis, Discovery Island, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Africa, Rafiki’s Plant Watch, Asia and Dinoland U.S.A. Each area has it’s own plethora of animals to see and attractions to entertain everyone.
